"Hot spot" dumping areas are now under surveillance with on the spot fines of $275 for illegal dumping with a maximum penalty of $50,000.

It Is now illegal to dispose of tyres at the Cunnamulla Waste Facility. Paroo Shire Council is finalizing a fee schedule for the disposal of tyres by individuals and businesses that generate waste tyres and is also finalizing suitable days and times that tyres are to be disposed of at the Broad St Depot.
