As from 17 December businesses and organisations are faced with new restrictions, this directive is from the Queensland Government and not the business owner or their staff.

On 17 December 2021, Queensland is set to ease restrictions for entry to Queensland. This is the date when at least 80% of Queenslanders, 16 years and older, are expected to be double vaccinated.
From this date, customers will also be required to show proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status when they check into many Queensland locations and businesses that will be restricted to fully vaccinated customers and visitors.
Restrictions for unvaccinated people When Queensland reaches the target of 80% double dose, unvaccinated people.
You will not be able to:
- Visit vulnerable settings, including residential aged care, hospitals, prisons, and disability care accommodation. There will be exceptions for medical treatment, end-of-life visits, childbirth, or emergency situations.
- Attend hospitality venues such as hotels, pubs, clubs, taverns, bars, restaurants, or cafes.
- Attend indoor entertainment venues such as nightclubs, indoor live music venues, karaoke bars, concerts, theatres, or cinemas.
- Attend outdoor entertainment activities such as tourism experiences (including reef excursions), sports stadiums, or theme parks.
- Attend festivals (entire venue—indoor and outdoor) such as folk festivals, arts festivals, or musical festivals.
- Attend Queensland Government owned galleries, museums or libraries.
You are able to:
- Access other settings, such as essential retail, other retail, public transport, places of worship, funerals etc. COVID-19 density restrictions may still apply, as per Queensland’s current COVID Safe Future Roadmap.
- Attend weddings (entire venue—indoor and outdoor), however restrictions apply. If anyone is unvaccinated (including the wedding party and officials), a maximum of only 20 people can attend.
- Attend a private function at a hired venue, however restrictions apply. If anyone attending is unvaccinated, a maximum of 20 people or 1 person per 4m2 can attend.
- If you are fully vaccinated
- When Queensland reaches the target of 80% double dose, vaccinated people will be able to:
- Visit vulnerable settings, including residential aged care, hospitals, prisons, and disability care accommodation.
- Attend hospitality venues such as hotels, pubs, clubs, taverns, bars, restaurants or cafes.
- Attend indoor entertainment venues such as nightclubs, indoor live music venues, karaoke bars, concerts, theatres, or cinemas.
